Journalist Christian Falk says that Manchester United are ready to offer Germany midfielder Goretzkaimproved terms on what he earns at Bayern Munich. The German champions are wary of the interest from Manchester United and have made their move to tie him down to a new deal at the Allianz Arena.

26-year-old Goretzka has not challenged himself outside Germany and a move to the Premier League could be a good way to test himself outside the German Bundesliga. Goretzka became a Bayern Munich player three years after his free transfer move from fellow German team Schalke 04.

Goretzka showed Manchester United what he’s capable of doing at the Euro 2020 tournament this summer. The Bayern Munich star was one of the best players for Germany at the tournament.

Three-time champions Germany didn’t have the best of times at Euro 2020 as they were knocked out at the last 16 stage by old nemesis England. Manchester City star Raheem Sterling scored the opening goal of the match with 15 minutes left to play before Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane wrapped up the 2-0 win over Germany moments later.

Bayern star Goretzka started Euro 2020 on the bench as manager Joachim Low preferred the midfield duo of Toni Kroos (Real Madrid) and IlkayGundogan (Manchester City). He would later displace Gundogan for the last group game in the Group of Death (Group F).Goretzka was then named in the starting line-up for the England game at the Wembley Stadium but he could not stop the last 16 defeat to the English team.
