The manager of the Germany national football team, Joachim Low, is not disappointed with the result that his team achieved in the match against Ghana yesterday. He is, in fact, happy with the battling spirit shown by his boys to come back and score the leveller.

It was the second group game for Germany. They had already won their first one by a huge margin of 4-0. So, another win would have secured their berth in the knockouts, but, Ghana didn’t let that happen. They played superbly without being influenced by the reputation of the opposition and at one point of time, they seemed to be getting into a position of creating a huge upset, but, a great strike in the 71st minute by the substitute player Miroslav Klose rescued Germany.

Talking to the reporters in the post match press conference, Low said, “When you get trailed by 2-1 in a high pressure World Cup game, it’s very difficult to bounce back especially in these conditions. We were ahead and then out of nowhere, they struck twice and we were trailing. But, the boys kept their cool and I appreciate them for that.”

“Ghana is not a bad team at all. They have got some really skilful guys and they played fantastically well, but, we also had some great opportunities in the latter stages of the game.”

The result of this match has made the Group G very interesting now. All the 4 teams in the group are still in with a chance to qualify for the knockouts.

Tomorrow, the other two teams of the group i.e. USA and Portugal will be taking on each other. If USA wins there, they will go through, but, if Portugal wins, it will make the scenario even more interesting.
